Don’t underestimate the power of social media. I found a great guest just by scrolling on Threads! Brenda, host of @LaFirstGenPodcast really made me realize how similar all our millennial parent experiences are!

In this episode we discuss a number of things, ranging from women’s postpartum and the ups and downs of parenting. I was really blown away by the amount of things we had in common like speech delay in our kids. While it may be common, I had not met or heard anyone personally with the same age range as my son.

If you have a free moment, you can watch the full episode below:

If you are a parent, I hope you relate to our conversation as much as I related to Brenda. It honestly feels good knowing that we are not alone and many parents are failing and succeeding just like us. We just have to remember to KEEP GOING and give our kids our best version.

My Experience

For the behind the episode detail, I want to share how FRUSTRATING it was to have this episode ready. After recording such a great episode, the episode was out of sync!

For non-podcasters, imagine being at your kids’ dance recital, and they have an amazing performance, which you 100% sure recorded with your camera. Then you get home and look back on the video just to see that your camera was front-facing and all you were recording was your face. EXACTLY that feeling!

Ive been one of the many new users to Riverside. I will try to write a different blog focusing on just this but my experience has been a rollercoaster. Although I really like the new features rolling out, their software has been real buggy. I did end up complaining about this issue to them and they refunded me the monthly fee.

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and/or watching the new episode! If you have any questions about Riverside, I can also happily answer.

Thanks for reading!
