The band-aid has been ripped off! I was finally a guest on someone else’s podcast! Young Dad Podcast interviewed me recently and I really enjoyed the conversations and topics that I had with Jey.

For this Behind the episode, I wanted to share that we had actually tried to record once before. On the day I was scheduled to record with Jey was the same day my dog was euthanized.

In order for me not to bum down the episode I decided to just reschedule with Jey. Flash forward, here we are a month later recording a new episode.

Guest Experience

One thing I did notice from being on the other side is that answering questions is actually a bit harder than asking them. Although Young Dad Pod relates to me and my content he did throw some curve ball questions at me that really put me into perspective.

One of those being what my short term goals are and others like what would I say to a younger version of me about to be a father. Both future and past questions that really got my brain working. Something about the essence of time that really puts our life in perspective.

Always Learning

While being a guest, I also paid attention to how he structures his episodes and what I can do to improve my own podcast. This was real helpful cause I have interviewed my first non – friend or previously acquainted guest. She was great and the new episode is underway!
