Weight: 365 pounds

Date: 01/20/25 – 01/24/25

As some of you may know, I joined a transformation challenge recently to lose weight. I have been hitting high numbers on the scale that can affect my health so I needed to do something about it.

Although I am not new to the weight loss game. I have grown older and thus it has become more difficult to lose any weight using my experience.

When I was in high school, I always struggled with being overweight.

I spent my days hating how I looked and just depressing myself to the point that something needed to change.

Long story short. I accomplished my goal.

I lost a lot of weight because I worked hard on my diet. I also worked out twice a day. In the mornings I would play soccer and then still go for a run at the end of the day.

Mind you, at this time I was 16. I had all the energy in the world, all the time and a new and improved metabolism.

FAST FORWARD: 10 years and 2 kids later

I first noticed I was tipping the scales when I started working. The stress and years later really did a number on me. Recently, I started noticing that I would be out of breathe going up the stairs.

Also, my blood pressure which is usually high was also an obvious tell.

Reality kicked in and told me to either get it together or be ready to hear some bad news.

I work from home and sit at a desk all day so I was not surprised that I wasn’t lean or maintaining my weight.

WHATS DIFFERENT NOW

Maintaining weight brings me to my next topic and current week. Losing weight isn’t the hard part of all of this. I’ve done it before and all it takes is dedication and consistency to change.

If maintaining weight was easy, I would still be at my high school weight now.

Because of this, I am sticking to workouts/routines/diets that I will not have a problem with doing on a daily basis.

This is important because a change in lifestyle sticks longer than a change in desire to lose weight.

Hopefully this method works better for me in the long run.

Bad Week

To close this blog out. This week was BAD.

I ate really dirty this week. I ate when I shouldn’t have. And I also didn’t put in as much effort into the gym as I have been.

BUT, its not the end of the world.

Next week will be better!

Thank you for reading, I know it was a long one but wanted to also do an intro.
