One of the biggest things overtaking my mind is waiting on the arrival of my second son.

We last heard from the doctors that he could be arriving any time from now until February 16th. I am mainly worried about how the delivery will go as well as if he comes too early. I keep getting hit with the Tik Tok algorithm in the worst ways.

This week I keep getting videos about a husband losing his son and wife to child birth. Literally my biggest nightmare, I do not even want to imagine what that would feel like. It would completely obliterate me.

HOPE

Intrusive thoughts aside, I try my best to focus on the good things in life while also maintaining hope. That’s all we can really do right? The world is pretty negative as it is. We gotta remember to look for the bright side of things.

THE MOON

The reason we are thinking our son will arrive soon along with the doctor’s telling us to have a hospital bag ready, is the moon. There is a belief that a baby’s time to be born is around a full moon. Today, 12/26 is in fact a FULL MOON. So as I am writing this, I periodically side eye my wife just to make sure everything is cool.

Our first born was actually born during a Waning Gibbous, the moon phase AFTER a full moon. Which keeps us thinking our second born will probably arrive during the same moon phase.

All we can do is hope for the best.
